Grandmas’s Drop Sugar Cookies

Ingredients & Directions

1 c Shortening
2 Eggs, beaten
2 ts Nutmeg
3 c Flour
1 1/2 ts Soda (baking)
1 1/2 c Sugar
1 ts Salt
1 ts Baking powder
1 c Sour milk
1/2 c sugar and
1 ts nutmeg, mixed together

Cream shortening and sugar. Add beaten eggs. Sift dry ingredients and mix
in alternately with the milk to which the baking soda has been added.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet and sprinkle with sugar
and nutmeg topping. Bake in 375 F oven for 8 – 10 min
